Rate Your Customers

They arent always right

I haven’t posted in awhile. I am trying to figure out building a website still. It’s more to learn than I thought.

However, I am making a new post today regardless of the current state of the website.

It has been decided by Ken that he was not waited on right since we did not accommodate his needs through only a phone call.

Ken called and asked about a specific service that is only available to current customers. He was told the specifics on how and why. He was then very upset and immediately left a negative review on google.

This is the kind of thing that I am starting this website because of.

Scenario.

This one is from some time back.

Karen shows up 30 minutes late for her appointment. She is already angry at the world because she is late and has an appointment in 45 minutes across town. Apologetically She is told her service takes at least 45 minutes to complete and She could rescheduled for a more convenient time if she would like.

That apparently was the wrong way to treat Karen. Karen abruptly decides that we are the worst company in the world because we cannot accommodate her needs any quicker. Even after coming in 30 minutes late for her appointment she demands that it be taken care of immediately and ahead of the other customers that were on time. Karen then proceeds to make a scene stating that every time she comes in there’s a problem and she will never return.

What I wanted to say…..

Karen I am sorry that your time management skills suck and you are struggling to be a responsible adult. Perhaps I can sign you up for a class on telling time. Maybe I could sell you a digital watch since the big hand and little hand seem to be confusing. You are more than welcome to take your business elsewhere and be loud and obnoxious and destroy their schedules and reputations with other waiting customers.

What I a actually said….

Karen I am sorry you are having difficulty today. How can I help? I will gladly get this taken care of immediately and or reschedule if need be. I will do everything I can to expedite the process for you and try to get you out in time for your other appointment.

But to no avail. Karen is still unhappy.

Well now for the first post. Welcome all who visit! I hope this turns out to be a fun and interesting experience for all of us.

As I figure out how to build this page I hope to make it more interactive and fun. The idea here is that I will post about real life experiences and situations that are both irritating and sometimes comical. I will refer to all men as Ken and all women as Karen’s in my story telling. As this becomes more interactive and I start getting people responding with their own personal stories I welcome you to use the same fictional names. However first names are fine and anything more than that will be deleted and not shared.

Let’s share some good funny stories and have a great time.

Eventually I do hope to actually someday move this into a direction where customers can actually be rated publicly and with the same scrutiny as the businesses and companies we work for.
